Shoki Mmola ‘Celia’ Exits Skeem Saam! After over a decade of gracing our screens as one of the original cast members of the hit SABC 1 drama series, Shoki Mmola is bidding farewell leaving many fans in their feelings.
Shoki went from being a recurring character to soapie regular and starring from the fourth season up until now. Not only was her character ‘Celia’ one of the most popular on the show, it also got her accolades in the industry. She has been nominated for the DStv Mzansi Viewers’ Choice Award in the Favourite Actress category, nominated in the Outstanding Lead Actress category at the Royalty Soapie Awards and received a SAFTA nomination for it.
Speaking on her exit, Shoki said, “As I bow out of SKEEMSAAM, I bow even lower to Everyone that has supported my work over the 28yrs of industry… And 10yrs of Skeem Saam……HERE: to telling more stories.”
Mmola exits as the new season of the show is about to start on the 4th of July. She is reportedly leaving to pursue other ventures.
