MacG On Why Celebrity “It” Girls Never Want To Come On His Show. MacG has been making all the headlines since last week and it’s unfortunately nothing to be proud about. The Podcast And Chill host had his name dragged in the mud following rape and abuse allegations levelled against him by Amanda Du Pont and he is not about to take them laying down.
Aside for him legal effort taken to address the issue between him and Du Pont, MacG has addressed the allegations on a recent episode of the Podcast And Chill Show. MacG starts off by distancing himself from any rape and abuse allegations, claiming he does not support or condone any form of GBV. MacG also spoke on the backlash he received from social media and celebrities who shared their honest opinion about the show.
Minnie Dlamini Jones is one of the celebs that reacted to MacG’s interview with Jub Jub, sharing how degrading the comments made on the show were to women and how ashamed she is of the podcast. Ayanda Thabethe was also part of the celebs who gave the show major backlash, sharing how disrespectful the the hosts are to women especially.
Solphenduka and MacG have since responded to the remarks about the show with a drag session of their own. The podcaster dragged all the female celebrities who have been vocal about his cancellation now and in the past, including Ayanda Thabethe, Minnie and Thando ‘Thabooty’ Thabethe. MacG who labels the ladies as “it” girls, claims they are the most active when it comes to cancel culture because they have the most to hide.
“These ‘it girls’ always say the same stuff every time they want us cancelled, and it’s because they have the most to hide. They don’t want such a platform to exist because they know they will get exposed” he said.
MacG defended his platform saying that Podcast and Chill is all about providing celebs with a platform to speak their truth, and they aren’t responsible for the views made by the guests on the show. He continued his rant about cancel culture claiming that people have the freedom to watch any content they want and are not forced to engage with his show.
He added that he also has a choice whether or not to watch Minnie Dlamini’s sports show but rather than engaging in a negative way, he goes and consumes something that is more up his ally.
“If you don’t like what we’re saying, don’t tune in. There are people that like it” he said. “If it’s not for you, leave it. How would it be if I tweeted that Soccer Zone is presented in a very archaic manner and should be presented by a man who knows more about sports.” he said.
Thando Thabethe previously called MacG out on twitter when he made transphobic comments in his podcast and dragged the show for posing discrimination as raw and unfiltered.
“Discrimination in the guise of being “raw & unfiltered” wish I could unsee that MacG podcast. Disgusted!” Thando said.
MacG and his crew then slammed Thando Thabethe for her “selective activism” in his latest podcast claiming she has bad podcast numbers and should stick to posting nudes.
