MacG Responds To Amanda Du Pont Labelling Him A Rapist. The last two episodes of Podcast And Chill with MacG have been rather mind blowing to say the least. Last week the platform aired the final episode of the podcast’s celebrity edition which saw Jub Jub as a guest. Let’s just say the Uyajola 9/9 host said some things that rubbed a lot of people the wrong was, including Amanda Du Pont, whom Jub Jub claims to have “smashed”.
Amanda did not take the news very well and posted a video addressing all of Jub Jub’s claims, regarding their two year relationship. The actress alleged that the rapper raped and abused her for the entire two years, and also tried to kill her a few time. Du Pont made it clear in the video that she will be taking action against Jub Jub and urged other victims who have also been raped by the rapper to join the fight.
Amanda also made it clear that she is also taking legal action against MacG and is encouraging anyone who has either been raped or harassed by the podcaster to speak up. The YouTuber has now dropped a special episode of the show, responding to all the backlash the show has since received. MacG began the show with a rant claiming that people have the freedom to go and consume other content and are not forced to listen to him or the show.
“If you don’t like what we’re saying, don’t tune in. There are people that like it” he said. “If it’s not for you, leave it.” he said.
Mukwevho continued to share the one thing that he hates is people spreading B.S about anyone on the podcast that is not true. He continued to defend himself and the platform saying that Podcast and Chill is all about being genuine and telling your truth therefore he can not be held accountable for what the guests say on the show. Solphenduka added that it is hard for one to fact check when they only have one side of the story and more importantly, it’s none of their business.
In conclusion, MacG said he didn’t want to delve too much into the discussion about Amanda because it is now a court matter but he did want to emphasize were he stands with regards to gender based violence in the country.
“I don’t wanna talk too much about Amanda because the lawyers are handling that but the lawyers are handling that and it’s a very sensitive issue you know and that’s the first and foremost thing I want to talk about. As a network myself, Ghost lady everyone, we understand the sensitivity of GBV, we do not condone it, we never have” MacG said.
MacG apologized to the Skeem Saam actress for triggering her with the interview but was not happy about her suggesting that he was an abuser and a rapist. The YouTuber is now taking the legal route and demands a retraction and apology from Amanda. MacG recalls having to speak to his mother on phone explaining that he is not an abuser, and it disappointed that his fans now view him in that light.
Amanda on the other hand gave her followers an update on how the case is going, and it seems like things are already underway with her legal team. It’s the war of the lawsuits and we are eager to see who gets the justice they deserve.
