Ntsiki Mazwai Livid Over Unathi Still Booking Gig’s After Almost Ruining Sizwe Dhlomo’s Career. GBV activist and businesswoman Ntsiki Mazwai is known for her unapologetic and unpopular opinion, especially about males in the industry. Many thought that Ntsiki’s disapproval of lying, toxic men was simply one sided but apparently not, because she is now standing up for a male in the industry who almost lost his career over a false allegation.
Fomer Kaya FM host Unathi has since become the villain on social media following reports of her trying to get Sizwe Dhlomo fired from Kaya FM. Unathi accused Sizwe of emotional abuse claiming he not only yelled at her but also showed aggressive behaviour while making threats and using the F word. Her attempts at getting the authorities at kaya to act dismally failed, after it was discovered through recordings that her allegations were indeed false which led to her termination.
Social media users and GBV activist’s are especially livid about Unathi’s doings, claiming they have lost all respect for her. Ntsiki Mazwai has had a lot to say about the situation, and it is not in Unathi’s favour. After the Sunday World publication reported that Unathi is still booked and busy following her termination, Mazwai took to social media to express her frustrations.
After being dropped by the GQ Awards as a host, it was confirmed that Unathi will be hosting season two of Mzansi Magic’s The Festive Get Together in The Life Artois show which will be premiering December 1 at 9.30pm. Ntsiki who has dedicated her life to challenging the biases of the justice system, Gender based violence and oppression is very doubtful of the country we live in which favours a woman who lied and tried very hard to ruin someones life.
Mazwai is still blown away by the fact that unlike others who have been destroyed by cancel culture, Unathi still gets booked to work even after the horrible act she committed, which is not cool.
“In the GBV climate we have in South Africa. A woman is alleged to have lied about someone and almost ended their career and reputation in an act of malice…… And you give her a TV show for little girls to know that you can lie about men and be rewarded for your lie? For real?” Mazwai wrote.
Mazwai who has openly defended GBV victims thinks that those who make false claims of abuse should have a hefty price to pay in the court of law because it takes away from real victims.
“When we stand up for rape victims…. We are reminded that women lie…. And cases are thrown out of court……… Women who lie and falsify abuse must be dealt with legally and accordingly” she wrote.
The Sunday World publication has revealed that the former Kaya FM DJ who was scheduled to host this year’s edition of the ‘GQ Man Of The Year Awards’ ceremony has been dropped by the show and the platform is currently in talks with other people who will potentially take over the duties. The awards platform which aims to recognize men and women who inspire, lead and shape the cultural landscape will be taking place November 27th 2021.
Editor in Chief Molife Kumona confirmed the reports claiming that the singer was let go due to unforeseen circumstances however, they still maintain a good relationship with the SA Idols judge and look forward to working together in the future.
