Tumi Morake Bags A Cool Award Nomination. Actress and comedian Tumi Morake is an enigma to watch on stage or on the television and her talent is definitely paying off. Tumi bagged a gig on Netflix not so long ago on the romantic comedy film Seriously Single. The star studded cast also included the likes of Fulu Mugovhani, Bohang Moeko, Mpho Osei Tutu and more.
Tumi gave us a fun and powerful performance on the production as the role of Noni and the African Movie Academy Awards platform is clearly in agreement. Taking to twitter, the National Film & Video Foundation (NFVF) revealed the exciting news of Morake’s latest award nod. Congratulations are in order for Tumi who has bagged a nomination for Best Actress in a Supporting Role for the film ‘Seriously Single’ at the African Movie Academy Award.
“Congratulations to @tumi_morake, who has been nominated for an African Movie Academy Award (@AMAAWARDS)! Tumi is a nominee for Best Actress in a Supporting Role for the film ‘Seriously Single’. The awards are presented annually to recognise excellence in African movies #AMAA2021” the NFVF wrote.
The Katleho Ramaphakela and Rethabile Ramaphakela directed film was released on the popular streaming service in 2020 and was received well by the audience. Tumi’s fans and followers responded to the news with congratulatory messages, sharing how deserving she is of the nomination and we couldn’t agree more.
Morake has been in her bag lately after securing other acting and presenting gigs during the year of 2021. Tumi was announced as the host of a brand new Mzansi Magic show. The show is titled I Blew It, Second Chances and is a spin off of the the popular local show I Blew It which is based on individuals who have lost their wealth. According to the publication, the new format show will go the extra mile to assist candidates with securing financial independence by providing them with the resources and tools to empower the individuals into starting their own businesses.
Tumi also bagged an acting role on an upcoming chick flick movie called the The Honeymoon Movie alongside Minnie Dlamini Jones and Kajal Bagwandeen.
