Watch! Inside Minnie Dlamini Jones‘ Son Netha’s Traditional Ceremony. Children are a wonderful way to bring family together and Minnie Dlamini loves her family. Minnie Dlamini has always been proud of her Zulu heritage and regularly celebrates it on social media. The mother of one is making sure her son also learns and celebrates his Zulu heritage, and the perfect time to start is when they are young.
This weekend marked a very important one for the Jones’ family as their little boy had his first traditional ceremony. This past Sunday, Minnie and her husband Quinton invited friends and family to baby Netha’s Imbeleko ceremony. Their little boy was also turning a year old this weekend, and his mother went all out to celebrate it.
The ceremony was hosted outside and had an a traditional Zulu theme which everyone was dressed in. The Jones family wore traditional orange and blue matching attire and they looked like a perfect family. The decor included a long table set up for the little ones with balloons and animals, and the grown up crowd hung out in gazebo’s where they all same and danced together.
The kids also got to enjoy a jumping castle, face painting, party packs and a three tier gourmet cake. The ceremony would not be complete without African beer (umqombothi) which was also served to the guests.
Familiar faces were also present to support Minnie and her family including 947 radio host Anele Mdoda, Generations :The Legacy actress Zola Nombona as well as childhood friend and fellow celeb Nandi Madida. Nandi also treated the crowd to an impromptu performance of her husband Zakes Bantwini’s number one hit song Osama, which was quite hilarious to see.
