Pics! Somizi Shares The Loss Of His Sister And Her Private Burial. The loss of a loved one is one of the hardest things to experience but it is just simply part of life. Former Idols SA judge Somizi Mhlongo has revealed that his family was recently mourning the loss of his older sister, who was buried last week Friday.
Taking to Instagram, Somizi revealed that his first born sister was buried in a private ceremony. Mhlongo shared how private his sister was when it came to her life and she wanted a send off that was exactly that. Somizi shared photo’s from the private ceremony where all their loved ones were present. The intimate ceremony was peaceful and dignified according to Somizi and everything went as planned.
“Last week Friday we bid farewell to my mom’s first born….my sister. She was a very private person and her wishes was that her send off shud be just that. And we made sure that we grant her that. It was a peaceful dignified send off” he wrote.
The reality star thanked all the friends and relatives that reached out to show support during the hard time as it meant a lot to him. Somizi continued to share how only services from black owned businesses where hired to provide services for the burial, and they all out did themselves.
Somizi added that society need to rid themselves of the perception that black owned businesses give bad service because any company is capable of giving bad service regardless of the race.
“We need to destigmatize the notion that black businesses give bad services….bad service is bad service. Good service is good service. Regardless of race” he wrote.
The black themed ceremony was planned by well known event planner to the stars Nono Event and Somizi was very happy with the outcome. He expressed his gratitude for putting their all into making their customers happy as everything was on point for the service.
“@nono_events my sister u and yo team bring yo hearts to every event…i cant thank u enough….the deco and everything is always on point” he wrote.
Somizi also extended his gratitude to the other black owned businesses that provided their top notch services on the day including the caterers and the funeral parlour.
