Somizi Responds To Allegations Of Wearing Fake Designer Clothes. Somizi has been in the industry for multiple decades and it’s no secret that he has made serious bank over the years. Through his fabulous social media life and publicised vacations we have seen Somgaga in some of the most priciest designer items from major local and international labels. that include Gucci Louis Vuitton MaXhosa and many more.

There has been an Instagram account called Fake Gucci Community SA that is dedicated to exposing celebrities who wear fake Gucci products. A few celebs have been exposed on the page for wearing knockoff items from the brand and one of the public figures who have been accused is SA Idols judge and reality star Somizi Mhlongo.

According to the account, Somizi was wearing a fake Gucci bucket hat. The Metro FM responded to the claims stating that he loves what the account stands for however, the claims are not true. Somizi refuted the claims and gave proof in the form of a video of himself at a Gucci store while making a purchase He also showed he has a personal account which also showed his previous purchases.

In video posted on his Instagram account, the multi-talented star said he was shocked at the accusation that his Gucci hat was a fake and has worked too hard to be discredited like that.

“Usually I would ignore it because I know my truth but hai guys I have worked so hard. This would discredit everything I wear.”

Other celebs who have been accused of wearing fake Gucci by the Instagram account includes celebrities such as Omuhle Gela, Big Zulu, DJ Tira and many more.
