Bishop Makamu Hit With Sexual Assault Charges After Alleged Resurfaced Recording. Things are getting sticky for TV presenter and Endless Hope Bible Church pastor Bishop Israel Makamu, after a recording of his conversation with a then under aged women asking for sexual favours has since resurfaced. According to reports the young lady was an employee of Makamu and is now seeking legal justice against the Rea Tsotella host on the grounds of sexual harassment.
The victim is currently 21 and has opened a case of sexual harassment against Makamu from incidents that occurred in 2018 when she was 17. The woman was an employee at Endless Hope Bible Church at the time and was with company, when the pastor began giving her inappropriate looks. Later in the day, the woman noticed numerous missed calls from Makamu and decided to return the call.
Israel allegedly instructed the young lady to meet at a certain place in connection with the church keys, and because he was an elder of the church, the young lady obeyed the instruction. Upon meeting, Makamu offered to give her a ride home and told her that he loves her.
“He told me he love me and at the office he only feels me. I asked him how he could feel me when i’m still young and love him as a father” she said.
The Bishop allegedly drove to the church without the young lady’s consent, and when asked why, he told her not to worry. Upon arrival, he tried to kiss her but, she managed to run away from his advances. The next day, the bishop called and asked her when she will have sexual intercourse with him and she replied saying the next day.
She was advised to record the next conversation she had with Israel, which is the clip that has now gone viral. After the call, the lady claims to have played the recording for her parents. Her father whom was livid by the pastors actions, confronted him and Makamu claimed that it wasn’t his voice and the girl was faking the clip.
After the victims father demanded Makamu to apologize to his family, the pastor refused and threatened him. This has since led to the family laying charges at the Midrand Police.
