ICYMI! Actress Nokuthula Mabika Facing Reckless Driving Charges After Car Accident! We haven’t heard much about the actress since she was axed from the popular SABC 1 drama series.

Unfortunately for her, her reentry into the news is not what any public figure would want. According to several reports Nokuthula accidentally bumped her car into a Grade 11 pupil, Sanele Maphalala in August 2019. The actress was reportedly driving her Blue BMW, with her friend and former co-star Nelisa Mchunu in the passenger seat.

The teenager allegedly sustained severe injuries and Nokuthula allegedly immediately drove him to the clinic for treatment. Speaking to Sunday Sun, the pupil’s mother, Sibongile Maphalala said she wants Nokuthula to face the full might of the law.

“I was next to his bed. He couldn’t recognise me. It’s so painful to see my son like this. I want Nokuthula to pay for what she did. I want the law to deal with her. Maybe I’ll find peace,” the mom said.

SAPS provincial spokesperson, Lieutenant Colonel Thulani Zwane confirmed to Move! that a case of reckless and negligent driving was opened at KwaMashu police station for investigation after the victim was allegedly knocked by a vehicle on 23 August 2019 at 18:00 along M5 highway.

“The docket was sent to the senior public prosecutor for decision,” Colonel Zwane said.
