Bucie Opens Up About Growing Up With A Famous Brother! A family that doesn’t steal each other’s shine stays together? That’s the case in singer Bucie’s family, yes she has a famous brother.
Bucie recently revealed she is Jimmy Tau’s sister. Their mothers are siblings. Asked why she didn’t use his fame to get ahead in the beginning of his career, Bucie said that was his time to shine and she was not going to steal it.
“He’s my brother, not even my cousin. My mother and Jimmy’s mother are sister’s,” Bucie explained. She went to explain that though the soccer star can’t sing, he likes to get credit for teaching Bucie a thing or two about music.
“My brother can’t sing to save his life but he has a bass voice. The other day I called him and he said, ‘ya you should tell them I taught him how to sing’ but I said as long as you tell them I taught you how to kick a ball,” she said laughing.
The ‘Rejoice’ singer however admits that Tau’s love for a DJ Fresh’s album back then led her to go study bass guitar.
“Jimmy had Fresh’s album and he played the song all the time. He would come to my grandmother’s everyday to see my grandmother and he would play it.”
