It’s hasn’t been a week since legendary actor Joe Mafela passed away in a tragic car accident. Whilst family, friends, colleagues and his fans are still mourning, the Generations fans have been curious to know what will happen to his character. Here’s what will happen to Joe Mafela’s character on Generations.

According to Generations spokesperson Gaaratwe Mokhethi, it has not yet decided on what to do with his character. “We are still mourning the death of Joe Mafela and so a decision hasn’t been made yet. We will meet after the funeral to discuss whatever needs to be done,” she told a local publication.

Rumors had been circulating on social media that the show was already casting for a Joe replacement. Mokhethi shut down those rumors.

“We are so grateful to have witnessed his professionalism and are sad to have lost him at a time when his star was not only still shining but was very much on the rise.”
