Former Idols judge Gareth Cliff has come under fire after sharing a bad joke on his Instagram page. The radio personality posted a meme which didn’t sit well with many of his followers. Gareth Cliff slammed for fat shaming women.
“Donald Trump managed to get more fat women out walking than Michelle Obama did in 8 years,” the meme reads. His comments were soon filled with outrage calling the outspoken star out.
“How can you be rude like this @grcliff I’ve lost all my respect for you !!!,” one fan commented. “As much as we are entitled to our opinions. Sexist jokes ain’t funny….,” another said.
“This isn’t funny, it completely discredits such an inspirational movement. This is disrespectful and sexist and one of the reasons so many women marched. Sexist jokes are never funny, I thought you were smarter than that,’ another one wrote.
It however doesn’t seem like Cliff was bothered by the comments as the post is still up.
