“Last Year I Tried To Commit Suicide 3 Times” -HHP

HHP told Gareth Cliff on his morning show that last year he tried to commit suicide 3 times. Whilst talking about his new music, rumored wedding to reality star Lerato Sengadi and music, the rapper revealed the sad news.

Asked why he seems liberated in recent times in his music, HHP  says it’s because he doesn’t get gigs anymore and the music is different. “I tried to commit suicide three times last year because radio has started to play trap music only”, he told Cliff.

“I’m like I can not do trap music because that is not what black excellence is about. I was like I’m not getting gigs now, I’m old school right?, I have to get with the program or fizzle out.”

HHP also revealed how he tried to take his own life. He told Gareth the first time he joined the suicide assist website but was it costing him a lot of money. He said he also tried carbon monoxide poisoning.

The third time he tried to kill himself using helium but when it didn’t work a voice came to him telling him that if he really wanted to die, then he had to live. “If you really wanna die you should do that thing that you’ve always been scared to do. One of has always been speaking my mind”, he said.

HHP says there is a lot of hate, there’s lack of love and quick to start a war, “I wanna be the guy who talks about love”, that’s when everything changed for him.
