Penny Lebyane Mourns the Loss of Her Father

South African radio and television presenter Penny Lebyane is mourning the loss of her beloved father, Rufus Sunnyboy Lebyane, following his passing on 30 October 2026.

The presenter shared the heartbreaking news with her followers, paying tribute to the man who played an important role in her life and whose love and teachings will remain with her and her siblings.

According to the funeral details shared, Rufus Sunnyboy Lebyane will be laid to rest on Saturday, 7 November 2026. His funeral will take place at Nasrec Cemetery, where family, friends and loved ones will gather to bid him farewell.

Taking to social media, Penny reflected on the special relationship she shared with her father, describing him as the first man who loved her unconditionally. She also shared an emotional tribute, highlighting the lessons he taught her and the lasting impact he had on her life.

In her heartfelt message, the radio presenter expressed how much her father’s love shaped the woman she has become. She also mentioned her siblings, Lebo, Brenda and Neo, as she reflected on the memories and values their father had instilled in them.

Penny wrote: “I lost the 1st man whoever loved me as I am, my father, dad, tyma, papa Ka… My heart is full of everything he is and has taught me and my siblings Lebo, Brenda, Neo which will remain with us for the rest of our lives. My heart is broken cause the only thing that describes what my father gave to me is Love in all its forms to fuel my spirit as a girl child. Love Personified.
