Multi-award-winning South African singer, songwriter and actress Busisiwe Thala, popularly known as CiCi, has welcomed her second child, a beautiful baby girl.
The singer shared the exciting news with her Instagram followers while giving them a glimpse into her life as a new mother of two. In a video posted on her account, CiCi held her newborn daughter while trying on a selection of summer outfits from Shein.
As she settles into life after childbirth, the musician is exploring different styles and figuring out what works best for her body. From colourful clothing to skirts and shoes, CiCi appeared to be enjoying the process of putting together looks that make her feel comfortable and confident.
She captioned her post, “My Lil Sunshine has finally arrived and it’s almost time to get back outside.”
In the video, CiCi opened up about the joy of welcoming her daughter and the challenges of finding outfits that suit her current figure.
“My bundle of joy is finally here and I’m so happy its over, that’s for sure. But I’ve got a bit of a dilemma because now I’m at this stage where I’m trying to figure out what size do I actually wear. What works for my body and what works for my current figure, what gives me a silhouette without making me feel, arg I don’t really like the way this looks on me or makes me feel uncomfortable.”
The singer went on to explain that she had found a few options she was excited to wear during the warmer months.
“But I think I’ve picked a couple of outfits that I think could work for this body and for the summer.”
Throughout the video, CiCi showcased colourful pieces, skirts and shoes that offered her followers a look at the summer wardrobe she is putting together as she prepares to step out again.
CiCi announced her second pregnancy in September. At the time, she shared photos of herself wearing a long white skirt with ruffles, paired with a Chanel top and gloves.
The new arrival makes CiCi a mother of two. She and her husband welcomed their first child, a son named Diallo, on May 15, 2020. The couple tied the knot in 2019.
Following her announcement, the singer received an outpouring of love and congratulatory messages from fellow celebrities who were excited about the arrival of her baby girl.
South African actress and media personality Simphiwe Ngema congratulated the new mother, writing, “Congratulations mummy. You look so hot haibo! That body.”
Actress Siphesihle Ndaba also joined in celebrating CiCi, commenting, “Haibo! Congratulations babydoll! semhle!”
Meanwhile, model and media personality Refilwe Modiselle shared her well wishes, writing, “Hey beautiful! Siyabonga that you & baby are good.”
With her little girl finally here, CiCi is embracing a new chapter of motherhood while getting ready for summer and finding outfits that suit her changing body.
