South African media personality Lasizwe has marked his 28th birthday with heartfelt messages that looked back on the challenges of the past year and celebrated how far he has come.
The television personality celebrated his birthday on Saturday, 19 July, sharing childhood photos alongside emotional reflections dedicated to himself and his younger self. His posts quickly drew attention from fans and fellow celebrities, who joined in wishing him a happy birthday.
In one of his birthday messages, Lasizwe admitted that turning 27 came with many difficult moments.
“Happy Birthday to me. 27 wasn’t an easy year. There were days I had to be strong for a version of me that still believed tomorrow would be better. There were moments I smiled while quietly carrying more than anyone knew.”
He went on to thank his inner child for never giving up on him and for holding on to hope even during uncertain times.
“Thank you to my inner child for never giving up on me.

For reminding me that, above everything else, I am still human.”
Lasizwe also reflected on the dreams he once had as a little boy and expressed hope that he has made that younger version of himself proud.
“You deserved a life filled with love, laughter and freedom. I don’t know if I’ve given you everything you dreamed of just yet.. But I hope I’ve given you enough to make you proud.”
He ended the message with a touching tribute to the child who never stopped believing in the future.
