South African stars Tyla and Shimza recently took their talents to Ibiza, Spain, where they performed together at one of the world’s most famous nightclubs.
The pair shared the stage on 18 June at Pacha Ibiza, a well-known cherry-branded nightclub that attracts music fans from around the world. Tyla’s appearance formed part of Shimza’s final show in his eight-week series of performances at the venue.
The South African DJ started the weekly shows on 30 April 2026. Every Thursday until 18 June, Shimza entertained crowds with his signature Afro-house and Afro-tech sound. During the eight weeks, he also invited several international artists to join him on stage.
Some of the guests who performed during the series included Gordo, Bora Uzer, Francis Mercier and Mahmut Orhan. Each week brought something different for music lovers visiting the popular island destination.
For the final event, however, Shimza saved one of the biggest names for last. Award-winning singer Tyla, who rose to international fame with her hit song Water, joined him for a special live performance.
Fans gathered at Pacha to watch the two South African stars perform together. Their appearance turned the final show into a memorable celebration of South African talent on an international stage.
The event also marked the second year of Shimza & Co. in Ibiza. Over the years, Shimza has continued to introduce African music to audiences from different parts of the world, helping to grow the genre’s global reach.
The closing show was a major success and also featured artists such as Damian Lazarus. The combination of top DJs and Tyla’s live performance created an exciting atmosphere for those attending the event.
Tyla’s appearance at Pacha is another sign of her growing international success. Meanwhile, Shimza continues to build his reputation as one of South Africa’s leading DJs, performing at major events and venues across the world.
Together, the two artists gave fans in Ibiza a night to remember while proudly representing South African music on one of the world’s biggest entertainment stages.
