Ntombee Ngcobo Celebrates Ihashi Elimhlophe’s Lifetime Achievement Award Win

TV host Ntombee Ngcobo is proudly celebrating her father, award-winning Maskandi music legend Ihashi Elimhlophe, after he received the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Metro FM Music Awards.

Announcing him as the winner, Metro FM wrote, “Lifetime Achievement Award goes to the legendary lhashi Elimhlophe Honouring a lifetime of impact, culture, and unforgettable music.”

Taking to Instagram, Ntombee shared a heartfelt message reflecting on her father’s inspiring journey and legacy. She wrote, “We celebrate not only a Metro FM Lifetime Achievement Award, but a legacy that continues to inspire generations. Coming from the poorest family in your village, where ugogo was even called umhlophe, to becoming a global icon has God written all over it. Life literally forced you to leave home at the age of 10 to work and provide for your family, little did you know that God was rewriting your story.”

She continued to praise his dedication and long-standing career in the music industry, adding, “Congratulations to our #DaddyCool on receiving his second Lifetime Achievement Award. Your passion, humility, and dedication have paved the way for so many. As you celebrate 47 years in the industry and continue setting the stage on fire at the age of 65, may God’s grace continue to carry you, sustain you, and open doors that no man can close.”

Ntombee also expressed gratitude and pride in her father’s achievements, saying, “We are deeply grateful for His favor upon your life.
