South African music star and entrepreneur DJ Zinhle has spoken out about a growing problem affecting her brand, Era By DJ Zinhle. The award-winning artist, who is also the founder of the popular accessories label, shared a firm message on her Instagram story, calling for honesty and respect from customers.

Era By DJ Zinhle is known for its stylish and modern accessories created for women with confidence and refined taste. The brand has become a big part of South African pop culture, thanks to Zinhle’s influence and her clear vision. Each item is designed to inspire empowerment, ambition, and self-belief. According to the brand’s message, wearing an Era piece is a reminder to reset, focus, and keep moving toward your goals.

However, DJ Zinhle recently revealed that some people have been buying fake ERA products and then visiting the official stores to pretend they bought from there. She expressed disappointment and frustration, saying it disrespects the team and the hard work that goes into building the brand.

In her Instagram story, she wrote:

“The new level of disrespect are people who buy fake ERA and then come to our store to create content as if they bought it from us. Please note: I have instructed our staff not to allow this, because iyabonakala.

Don’t throw a tantrum in fake ERA at an ERA store — it’s disrespectful. If you bought it elsewhere, please create your content there.

We work too hard to build this brand, serve our customers, and honour our dreams for anyone to misrepresent us. Let’s respect the space, the team, and the authenticity that ERA stands for.”

Her message shows the dedication and hard work she and her team put into creating the brand from scratch. For DJ Zinhle, protecting ERA is not just a business matter — it’s about honoring the passion, vision, and dreams behind every piece.

By taking a firm stand, she emphasises the importance of supporting original creators and valuing the effort that goes into building a trusted brand. Her words also remind fans why ERA by DJ Zinhle remains a beloved and respected name: it is a brand built on authenticity, purpose, and passion.
