Beloved Actress Londiwe Faith Nene Passes Away at 35

South Africans are mourning the loss of talented actress Londiwe Faith Nene, who passed away on Saturday, 11 October 2025. Her family confirmed the sad news through a heartfelt statement shared on her official Facebook page.

“It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that we confirm the passing of Londiwe Faith Nene. She passed away on Saturday, 11 October 2025. As a family, we are deeply heartbroken by this loss and kindly ask for privacy as we navigate through this time of sorrow. Your understanding, compassion and prayers mean a great deal to us as we find strength and comfort in one another,” the statement read.

The family also mentioned that details about her funeral will be shared at a later date.

Londiwe was known for her impressive work in the entertainment industry. She starred in several productions, including Bheka Sik’bambile, Adulting, Outlaws, and various popular soapies. She was also a presenter on uThando noXolo and became a fan favourite for her role as Auntie Thuli in Showmax’s teen drama Youngins. Her warm personality and acting talent earned her respect and admiration from viewers and colleagues alike.

While the cause of her death has not been officially confirmed, Sunday World reports that the family suspects poisoning. According to the publication, Londiwe’s sister, Lethukuthula Nene, spoke to them from a police station on Monday afternoon, expressing the family’s deep shock and grief.

“I don’t even know what to say or where to begin,” she said. Lethukuthula added that Londiwe’s death was sudden and completely unexpected.
