Award-winning South African DJ and music producer Prince Kaybee has shared another heartfelt tribute to his late mother, one month after her passing. The DJ, whose real name is Kabelo Motsamai, took to X (formerly Twitter) to express his deep grief and reflect on the painful moment he lost her.
A month since the passing of the goat, MY MOTHER❤️
It was on this day around this time when she lost all control of her body unable to respond to my efforts of trying to resuscitate her.

“A month since the passing of the goat, MY MOTHER. It was on this day around this time when she lost all control of her body unable to respond to my efforts of trying to resuscitate her,” he wrote in his post.
The touching message quickly drew an outpouring of support from his followers. One user, @FragranceMo, offered words of comfort: “Losing a mom is the worst thing that can ever happen to a person, hurts because you are forever changed. Go to loka.” Another user, @boksville_SD, added: “Prayers my brother is the only effort we can offer. She is proud of you!!”
Prince Kaybee first opened up about his loss on the 9th of September, when he revealed the devastating news that his mother had passed away after a long illness. In that emotional post, he described her faith, her pain, and his struggle to understand why someone so devoted to prayer had suffered so deeply.
“I just wanna discuss God, if he exists. My mother was one of the most faithful people I know. She prayed twice a day, sometimes overnight, and I could hear her cry in prayer through the night. But oh boy, she suffered. I saw in her eyes how excruciating the pain was. She went through financial exhaustion. People that love her, like me, also suffered looking at her go through all that. What kind of a sick God allows this if He is all powerful and all knowing?” he wrote.
His pain was further echoed when he revealed how much his mother meant to him:
“I have lost the oldest person who loved me through all my flaws, the ONLY person in this world I could share anything with without being judged. But she is dead, and for some reason, there’s a God orchestrating all this. Today was supposed to be her first surgery consultation that could’ve changed her life, but God had other plans. MY MOTHER JUST WANTED TO RAISE MY KIDS, she felt that was the only thing left to do for me.”
