Controversial content creator, YouTuber, and DJ Honour Zuma, better known as Cyan Boujee, recently sat down with rapper L-Tido on his podcast, The L-Tido Podcast. The 24-year-old influencer opened up about her bold decisions, including why she chose to go under the knife, her struggles with body image, and how surgery has shaped her journey.

Cyan Boujee: “My body was like an icecream before I did my BBL, straight up.” 😭😭😭

Cyan admitted that one of the biggest reasons she chose surgery was because she wanted to look like her idol, American rapper Cardi B. “I did my BBL because I just definitely wanted to,” she said. “I had a lady I looked up to, and I just knew that one day I wanted to look like her.” For Cyan, surgery wasn’t about pleasing others but about fulfilling her own vision of beauty.

She also shared how difficult her teenage years were, saying her body shape made her feel like an outsider. “No one really wanted to associate themselves with me because I looked so bold and straight. My body was like an ice-cream body… straight up. If I wore pants, it was worse.” Cyan reflected on how society pushes slimness as the ideal, even from childhood. “Let’s talk about cartoons. If you see a big woman there, aren’t they always the villain? And then the attractive ones are innocent and the queens. But the big ones are always angry.”

Her transformation journey has been extensive. Last year, Cyan spent R58,000 in Turkey on gastric sleeve surgery, which helped her shed 25kg in six months, going from 92kg to 68kg. She proudly shared her before-and-after pictures on Instagram, celebrating her progress. But the weight loss came with its own challenges, including sagging breasts. Determined to feel good about her body, she decided to undergo a breast lift in Durban. “I’m just getting my boobs lifted up so they are upright and pointy,” she explained. She admitted that the gastric sleeve surgery made her breasts sag, something she wasn’t comfortable with.

Cyan also confessed that surgery can become addictive. “I want to have a unique body and surgeries are very addictive. Once you start, you can’t stop,” she said. Despite the risks, she feels empowered by the changes. Her goal weight is between 60kg and 65kg, a target inspired by her desire to look and feel her best.

“I know I’m just 22 [now 23] and I’m putting my body under much pressure, but I want to be in a space where I am genuinely happy with my body,” Cyan revealed earlier in the year. Her openness about why she got a BBL and other surgeries shows how much she’s willing to share with her fans, making her one of the most talked-about influencers in South Africa.
