Podcaster, TV host, and brand ambassador Pamela Mtanga recently opened up on Instagram about a shocking experience where she was scammed by a moving company. The star revealed that she has been left without her belongings after paying thousands of rands to a company that failed to deliver.
Pamela shared her frustration with her followers, saying:
“Guess who got scammed by a moving company? I paid R28 500 for the quoted move. They outsourced a company and paid them R19 000. Boxes, tape and bubble wrap ran out by midday, now the company quoted an extra R14 000 for me to pay for extra supplies. They parked outside my place for 2 hours then left with my stuff because the other company didn’t pay them in full. I last saw my stuff on Thursday/Friday last week.”
She went on to explain that the employee involved admitted fault and promised to fix the issue, but things quickly turned worse. “The owner has now turned around to say they don’t owe me & I just paid another R17 000 to the company in possession of my stuff. The extra R3k is for delivery because my stuff is at some warehouse in Randburg and they have to RE-deliver.”
Pamela exposed the company that allegedly scammed her, sharing screenshots of L&M Group. She added, “Now we wait for the law to run its course. So I paid R28 500 and R17 000. They paid Leopard R19 600. They pocketed the rest and that’s where my issue is.”
The TV personality said she did not follow up earlier because she was very ill. “The only reason I wasn’t following up on Monday (which was what was promised as the delivery date) was because I was extremely sick, still am but I’m back home now. Can’t go to my place, it’s vacant because everything is at the warehouse. Got gigs this weekend so I’m trying to rest but also, don’t have my stuff anyway, the matter is in the right hands now…”
Pamela also revealed that she had used the same company before, but they had damaged her belongings in the past. “I left Twitter 3 years ago. And so crazy I’ve used these guys 3x. The second time they broke the glass door on my shoe closet, I reported and nothing was done. Genuinely thought they would’ve improved on their service offering. But ndim o wrong because NDI-THOUGHTILE.”
