Former Miss South Africa, Shudufhadzo Musida, is on cloud nine after the return of her podcast, Mindful Mondays with Shudu, shot straight to the top of the charts. The podcast has become the number one health and fitness show in South Africa and ranked seventh across all categories, something Shudufhadzo is beyond grateful for.

She shared her excitement on social media, saying, “Yesterday, our show was the #1 health & fitness podcast in South Africa and #7 across all categories, and I just want to take a moment to thank everyone who has listened, streamed, and shared your stories with us in the last 3 weeks since we launched. That was always our intention, to hold space for real stories and meaningful connection, and I couldn’t be more grateful that it’s come to life through you. This journey wouldn’t be possible without you, and I can’t wait to keep walking it together. We’re so excited to see how much the conversations resonate with you. The new episode with Shekhinah is out now, and we’ve already noticed beautiful themes emerging: boundaries, self-doubt, and most importantly, the feeling that the podcast is meeting people exactly where they are.”

The second season of the podcast officially launched on 4 August, and its impact has been felt almost immediately. Fans are loving the authentic and meaningful conversations, and Shudufhadzo has noticed the positive way listeners are connecting with the topics.

For her, the success of Mindful Mondays with Shudu is about more than numbers—it’s about creating a safe space for people to share, reflect, and heal. The 29-year-old from Ha-Masia in Limpopo explained that this season feels closer to her heart than ever before. “This is more than a podcast cover. It’s love,” she said.

What makes her podcast so popular is its relatable approach. Instead of focusing on textbook definitions of mental health, Shudufhadzo makes each episode about the realities people face every day. “It’s less about definitions of mental health and more about the daily experience, the quiet battles, breakthroughs, and conversations,” she added.

With singer Shekhinah featured on the latest episode and themes like boundaries and self-doubt already emerging, it’s clear why Shudufhadzo’s podcast is striking such a chord with listeners. More than just a podcast, it’s a movement that’s reminding people that their stories and feelings matter.

Right now, Shudufhadzo Musida is not just proud of her podcast’s chart-topping success—she’s overjoyed that it is touching lives exactly as she always hoped.
