South African singer Kelly Khumalo has had enough of being blamed for the death of her former boyfriend, Senzo Meyiwa. In a powerful video message, Kelly responded to fresh claims linking her to the 2014 murder of the Bafana Bafana soccer star.

Senzo was shot and killed at Kelly’s family home in Vosloorus in October 2014. He was reportedly at the house with Kelly, her sister Zandie, her mother Ntombi, her son Christian, and three of his friends. Since then, the case has been surrounded by mystery, court delays, and a lot of public speculation.

Recently, the case resurfaced in the media after Malesela Teffo, a disbarred attorney, spoke on the popular show Podcast and Chill. Teffo claimed that Kelly was the one who killed Senzo, allegedly by mistake, while trying to hand him a gun. He also mentioned a supposed warrant of arrest against her.

But Kelly has hit back hard. She posted a video on social media, calling Teffo’s claims part of a long-standing “humiliation ritual” that he had started in court and was now continuing on “sketchy podcasts”.

“Enough is enough. It stops here and it stops today,” Kelly said firmly. “I’m not going to be diplomatic about this. I’m not going to release press statements. I’m not going to waste my money hiring lawyers to speak on my behalf.”

Kelly made it clear she is tired of being the target of accusations and public shame. “If you strongly believe I am capable of what you are accusing me of, very simple, come and get me. I’m not above the law.”

She said she is done staying silent while people drag her name through the mud. “I’m at a point where I have had enough of people dragging my name through the mud. It stops now. The stupid humiliation rituals you have been performing using me over the years, enough.”

Her message ended with a clear challenge: “If you feel I am the woman you are coming after, come and get me. I fear no man. Until then, back off.”
