Reality TV star and The Mommy Club cast member Vuyiswa “Vuyi” Nyauza recently shared her deeply emotional journey on the Engineer Your Life podcast. In the heartfelt conversation, the 40-year-old mom and widow opened up about the grief of losing her husband, how it changed her life, and how she’s slowly trying to heal.

Vuyi spoke honestly about how painful and confusing it was to lose her partner. “When everything happened and God decided to take him, I was upset,” she said. “That whatever we want in our lives, we must ask you for it. Why are you doing this to me? Why me? When am I ever going to be happy? Am I not supposed to share my life with someone? Am I supposed to raise my kids alone? It was really painful to lose him.”

Although Vuyi has spoken about her loss before on The Mommy Club, this time she revealed even more about the emotional weight she carries daily—not just from her own grief, but also from the sadness of those around her. “You carry everyone’s grief. Sometimes, it feels a bit heavy,” she explained. “But I’m taking it one day at a time.”

She said she’s reached a place of acceptance, but moving forward is still a challenge. Her children and memories constantly remind her of the life she once had, making it difficult to let go. Still, she’s doing her best to keep going and rebuild.

Vuyi also shared how social media negativity has added to her struggles. She expressed disappointment about how strangers judge her based on what they see on TV. “I would feel flabbergasted that you would feel that way about someone you don’t know,” she said. “So you’ve made a conclusion about me that Vuyi is this person. Just minutes, you’ve judged me. I would say, shame on you and learn to be graceful, kind, and understand people.”

She pointed out that many people use ghost accounts to send hate online. “I know there’s a real human behind that. And if you are going to say something hurtful to another person, remember that God is there. Some people commit suicide, and others go into depression,” she said. “Whatever happens to that person, God knows you did that.”
