Lady Zamar Opens Up About Her Love Life: “Until I’m a Wife, I’m Still Single.”

South African songstress Lady Zamar has finally shared some details about her love life—and fans are loving it!

Known for her powerful voice and hit songs, Lady Zamar, whose real name is Yamikani Banda, recently appeared on the Loud Wednesday podcast with former Big Brother Mzansi star Yolanda. While she’s always kept her personal life private, this time she decided to let fans in on a secret: she’s in love!

Lady Zamar: “I am currently seeing someone, yes, but you know with me until I am a wife of somebody—on a technicality I AM STILL SINGLE. 🫢

“I am currently seeing someone, yes,” Lady Zamar said during the interview. But she was quick to clarify: “Until I am a wife of somebody—on a technicality, I am still single.”

She went on to explain that if her man wants to make things official, he’ll need to do the right thing. “If he wants to lock this down, he needs to make sure that he marries me; otherwise, no.”

This isn’t the first time Lady Zamar has spoken about her relationship status. Back in February 2024, she revealed during an episode of the Spreading Humours podcast that she had fallen deeply in love with a mystery man. “I am head over heels, guys. We have been seeing each other for just under a month. I love to love,” she shared with excitement.

The Runaway hitmaker added, “I always try to be in a relationship, but if it doesn’t work out, I leave. We had a fantastic time on Valentine’s Day.”

Lady Zamar, who is also one of the most followed South African musicians on social media, often trends because of public interest in her personal life. Despite her huge success in the entertainment industry, her love life has often taken centre stage in the media.
