Big Brother Mzansi Season 5 winner, known by his stage name Sweet Guluva, is celebrating a major milestone in his music career. The rising star recently performed his very first song, “Sweet Guluva,” on a big stage — and it was a night he will never forget.
The performance took place at the MTN Bushfire Festival in Eswatini, formerly known as Swaziland. Taking to Instagram after the event, Sweet Guluva shared just how much the moment meant to him.
“Still soaking it all in… Last night will live in my heart forever,” he wrote. “I had the honour of performing my very first song, ‘Sweet Guluva,’ on the MTN Bushfire Main Stage alongside the one and only @murdahbongz. To share a piece of my story, named after me, in front of such a beautiful, electric crowd, that kind of love can’t be explained, only felt.”
The performance was a powerful collaboration featuring DJ Zinhle, Ndlov’Jnr, and Nokwazi Dlamini. Sweet Guluva gave a heartfelt shout-out to the team who helped bring the song to life: “A huge thank you to @dizinhle for featuring me on this powerful track, and to @ndlohjnr & @nokwazidlams for bringing it to life with me.”
Fans won’t have to wait long to enjoy the full version of “Sweet Guluva.” The track is officially set to drop on 6 June 2025. DJ Zinhle, a well-known businesswoman and music producer, recently posted a fun teaser of the song on social media, along with a dance challenge to go with it.
“It’s official. ‘SWEET GULUVA’ drops on the 6th of June. We’re up! @nokwazidlams @ndlohjnr @sweet_guluva,” she captioned the clip.
From reality TV fame to music stardom, Sweet Guluva is clearly riding the wave of success. His fans are excited to see what he does next, and judging by the love he received during his first live performance, this is only the beginning.
