Tyla Shows Off Her Acting Side in Powerful ‘Bliss’ Music Video

Tyla is giving fans more than just music — she’s delivering a movie-like experience in her latest music video for Bliss. Known for her breakout hit Water, the South African pop star is now showing off her acting skills, and fans can’t stop talking about it.

The music video, directed by Julien Christian Lutz, opens with a dramatic desert scene. Tyla stands confidently while a massive explosion happens behind her — and she doesn’t even flinch. Later, she climbs a rope into the clouds, creating a dreamy and emotional journey through love and heartbreak.

“For the drama, for the plot… Bliss mv out now,” Tyla wrote in an Instagram post, along with a short teaser of the video.

The lyrics of the song match the emotional tone of the visuals: “I don’t wanna be in the world without you / Baby, I don’t wanna let you out my sight / I don’t wanna, I don’t wanna ever break away from you / Or the light might go away, I need you in my life,” she sings.

Throughout the video, Tyla takes viewers on a rollercoaster of feelings — from sadness to longing. At one emotional moment, she breaks down in tears, which touched many of her fans. “The acting skills>>> I cried with you,” one follower commented. Another said, “Visuals on another level. Tyla first performed Bliss live at the 2025 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in California this past April. Fans have been waiting eagerly for the full release since then, and it finally dropped on Friday, May 9.

In a recent chat with Billboard, Tyla opened up about her growth as an artist. “I’ve changed a lot in a short amount of time because I was kind of forced to – with how fast I had to adapt to everything,” she said. “I don’t think it’s going to be the same energy at all, especially with what I’ve started making. It’s different, but also still Tyla.”

And she’s not stopping any time soon. Tyla is set to host the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards on June 21st, adding another major achievement to her growing list.
