Actress and media personality Khanyi Mbau is glowing — and she’s proudly showing off her healed and beautiful face after undergoing cosmetic surgery.
In August 2024, Khanyi made the bold decision to stop using Botox and fillers every few months. Instead, she opted for a more permanent solution: a blepharoplasty to remove extra skin from her eyelids and a subnasal lip lift to enhance the shape of her lips. The decision came after years of constant maintenance, and Khanyi was ready for a lasting change.
Just hours after the surgery, she shared a video on Instagram showing her swollen face and describing how it felt. “Wrapped in cling wrap,” she said with a mix of honesty and excitement. She also posted with a bold caption:
“Now we bake, bought a new face.. I know, I know.. before we all lose it.. it’s still very fresh and super tight.. it will take a few weeks for it to cook.. I grew tired of Botox and fillers every three months now looking for a permanent solution to a structured tight face.”
In April 2025, when she made her first public appearance after surgery at the launch of Netflix’s Meet The Khumalos, some fans were shocked. Her face was still healing, and many on social media had strong opinions about her transformation.
One person on X (formerly Twitter) said: “I’m not hating. If anything, I love her, but all those procedures to look like this? This woman was born beautiful.”
Another added: “I’m convinced loving and doing unnecessary plastic surgery is a sign of a mental health issue.”
But now, weeks later, the healing is complete — and Khanyi Mbau is back with a fresh, youthful, and glowing look. On social media, she confidently showed off her new face and looked happier than ever.
Along with her radiant appearance, she shared a heartfelt message to her fans: “To my babies, I see you, I understand you… even at your lowest I get you. Through your posts your eyes say so much and I wish nothing but prosperity, happiness and abundance. May all your desires come to life, the silent battles you all fight are just tools and sharpening of your skill to bring you closer to the memory of who you truly are. Shine my angels. – Mbau.”
Her followers flooded the comments section with praise and love, calling her “stunning,” “pretty,” and “gorgeous.”
With her fresh look and wise words, Khanyi Mbau is once again proving that beauty comes with confidence, courage, and the power to choose your own path.
