Controversial podcaster Macgyver “MacG” Mukwevho is facing intense criticism after making disrespectful and offensive comments about media personality Minnie Dlamini on a recent episode of his popular podcast. The remarks, which were made during a conversation about Dlamini’s recent breakup with doctor Brian Monaisa, have caused a public outcry on social media and sparked serious conversations about sexism and online harassment.
In the episode, MacG and his co-host Sol Phenduka made fun of Dlamini’s romantic life. Referring to her split with Monaisa, MacG asked, “Why can’t she keep a man? Bro, I’m telling you, man, there’s got to be something wrong with her; maybe her coochie smells or something.” He added, “You know this happens, man; it happens, especially with the hot girls.”
MacG suggests that Minnie Dlamini’s private part might have an unpleasant smell, following her recent breakup with Dr. Brian Monaisa.

One user wrote, “Hope she considers legal action to protect her reputation, MacG needs to be held accountable for this kind of behavior.” Another added, “This is disrespect.”
Dr Brian Monaisa, Dlamini’s former partner, also took to Instagram to express his anger at the podcasters’ remarks. He strongly defended Dlamini and called MacG and Phenduka out for what he viewed as cowardly attacks on successful women. “What cap is this? I think MacG and Sol Phenduka have really shown us all that they have a problem with successful women,” he wrote. “I stand for the integrity of women, bro. These hard-working, respectful people deserve more than you little weasels.”

A day before South Africa’s Freedom Day, she posted a powerful message on Instagram, writing: “What is freedom when women still endure vile abuse for daring to be Great? Freedom of speech is not freedom to harass, shame, or violate women. Freedom of speech was never meant to be a weapon against women’s dignity!!! Do Better. #FreedomDay.”
Later, she also reposted a quote from her True Love magazine cover feature: “My career has never been, and will never be, defined by my relationship status. I was Minnie before marriage, and I will be Minnie long after my divorce.”

MacG’s comments don’t define your worth. You’re strong, beautiful, and deserving of kindness.” Another added, “You are a beautiful woman and you don’t deserve to be insulted in any way. As an ordinary South African citizen, I wish you all the best in your career and personal life—which is nobody’s business but your own.”
The backlash against MacG continues to grow as more people demand accountability and call for respectful treatment of women, especially in media and public discussions.
