South African music star Tyla brought excitement and emotion to the stage during the second weekend of Coachella 2025. On Friday night, she gave fans something special—performing a brand-new, unreleased song that left many in the crowd deeply moved.
Tyla chose a calm and intimate setting for the performance, sitting on the stage stairs as she sang the new track. The lyrics talk about the strong feelings of love and wanting to be close to someone special. In the emotional song, Tyla sings, “I don’t want to be nowhere without you / Baby, I don’t want to let you out my sight / I don’t want to, I don’t want to ever break away from you.”
She continued, “Let my smile bring you peace of mind / Burning desire when you throw your arms all around me / I need to feel all your passion.”
The chorus of the song is full of joy and deep emotion. She sings, “You take me to bliss. Never found a love like this / Never found it, never found it.” Fans quickly shared videos of the moment on social media, praising her performance and the heartfelt lyrics.
This surprise song wasn’t the only treat during her 15-song set. Tyla also joined Canadian-German artist WizTheMc for the live debut of “Show Me Love,” his track made in collaboration with Bees & Honey. She ended her set with a crowd favorite—her global hit song “Water,” as listed on setlist.fm.
Just a week earlier, Tyla surprised fans by bringing out Becky G for their song “On My Body” during the festival’s first weekend.
Tyla has been on a rapid rise in the music industry. In March, she told Billboard that she is working on a new album for 2025. “I’ve changed a lot in a short amount of time because I was kind of forced to with how fast I had to adapt to everything,” she shared. “I don’t think it’s going to be the same energy [as Tyla] at all, especially with what I’ve started making. It’s different, but also still Tyla.”
Fans are excited to see what’s next from this rising star.
