The Mommy Club star Ratile Mabitsela has opened up about her grief following the death of her husband, businessman Lehlogonolo Mabitsela. A month after his passing, she took to Instagram to express her gratitude for the love and support she has received during this difficult time.

“A month later, and the journey of grief remains heavy. I am deeply grateful for the outpouring of love and support from family, friends, colleagues, acquaintances, and my online family and friends,” she wrote.

Ratile acknowledged the comforting words, prayers, and gestures that have helped her and her family through their loss. “Each kind word, prayer, and gesture has brought us comfort and healing during this turbulent time. Thank you for standing by us, embracing us with kindness and strength,” she added.

She also extended a special thank you to Cartel Funeral Home for their role in ensuring her husband received a dignified send-off. “A special thank you to Cartel Funeral Home for your compassionate assistance in honoring Mabitsela with a dignified send-off. We could not have done it so well without your dedicated service and commitment.”

Lehlogonolo’s passing was confirmed by Elizabeth Pooe, the managing director of Mothapo Group, in a statement to TshisaLIVE. She shared that Ratile had requested privacy as she processed her grief. “She is mourning and dealing with the shock of the death,” Elizabeth stated.

Just before the tragedy, Ratile and Lehlogonolo had celebrated a joyful occasion—their twins’ seventh birthday. Recently, Ratile shared a glimpse of the celebration, reflecting on the special day despite the pain she is enduring.

“We had a wonderful playdate to celebrate our beautiful twins’ seventh birthday, filled with love and amazing company. A heartfelt thank you to everyone for joining us, for all the warm birthday wishes, and for the lovely gifts. We are genuinely grateful,” she wrote.

As she navigates this difficult chapter, Ratile continues to find strength in the love and support surrounding her.
