Media personality Lunga Shabalala, known for his roles as a TV presenter on Selimathunzi and as an actor on shows like The River, Miseducation, and The Legacy, recently shared a deeply personal moment on his Instagram: his baptism. The actor posted a heartfelt message to mark the occasion, reflecting his spiritual journey.

“The happiest day in my life. My public declaration that Jesus is Lord,” Shabalala captioned the post, expressing the joy and significance of the day.

Along with his post, Shabalala included an inspiring Bible verse from Galatians 2:20 (NIV): “I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.” This powerful verse reflects the new chapter in his life, marking a moment of personal transformation and faith.

The post quickly garnered a flood of support from his fans and fellow industry colleagues, who took to Instagram to celebrate the significant moment with him. TV and radio presenter Zizo Tshwete expressed her joy with the message, “Glory to Jesus! I’m so happy for this realisation in your life my friend.” Her words highlighted the impact of Shabalala’s public declaration of faith.

Singer Liyema Phantsi shared her praise, commenting, “Praise be to the Lord,” showing her joy in Shabalala’s spiritual milestone. Actress and TV presenter Candice Modiselle also shared her excitement, writing, “Jesus looks so good on you man! I pray God’s goodness finds full expression in all aspects of your life! So happy for you.”

Shabalala’s baptism is not only a personal triumph but also a public declaration of his faith, and his Instagram post allowed his followers to join him in celebrating this special occasion.
