In an unexpected move, Rachel Kolisi has stepped down as CEO of the Kolisi Foundation, signaling the start of a new chapter in her life. The news comes shortly after her stunning swimsuit cover shoot in the March/April 2025 edition of Women’s Health SA. The magazine, titled “Becoming Rachel: Ready For Her Next Chapter,” explores Rachel’s refreshed approach to health and wellness, as well as how she is adjusting to significant personal changes following her separation from Springboks captain Siya Kolisi in October 2024 after eight years of marriage.
Rachel, who co-founded the Kolisi Foundation with her then-husband in 2019, confirmed her departure on social media. The announcement was made on February 28 by Justice Desk, an NGO dedicated to combating gender-based violence (GBV). The organization shared a heartfelt farewell post, expressing deep gratitude for Rachel’s unwavering support of their initiatives. “Farewell for Rachel Kolisi,” the post read. “This morning, we had the privilege of joining fellow GBV organizations to surprise Rachel with a heartfelt farewell. Her unwavering support for our work, especially through the iNtsika yeThemba and Mbokodo programs, has been truly impactful.”
The tribute went on to praise Rachel’s dedication to GBV causes, with the organization stating, “We were saddened to hear that she will no longer be CEO of the Kolisi Foundation, but we know she will continue to do incredible things. Rachel, you will always be a GBV activist at heart, and your impact will be felt for years to come.”
Rachel’s confirmation of her departure came shortly after she updated her Instagram bio. She removed “CEO of Kolisi Foundation” and replaced it with “Student, Mom, Speaker, and Director,” signaling her shift towards new ventures in health, fitness, and personal growth.
In 2023, Rachel was appointed CEO of the Kolisi Foundation, taking on the role after years of being a key figure in the organization’s work. Her time as CEO marked a significant chapter in her career, but it’s clear she’s now ready for something new. The mother-of-two, who was a former fitness instructor, is embarking on a fresh journey filled with exciting opportunities.
