Veteran actor Luthuli Dlamini has responded to recent rumours claiming he is homeless and living in an abandoned drug den in Randburg. The reports quickly spread, causing concern and sparking an outpouring of support from fans and fellow celebrities, many of whom offered him a place to stay.
On Wednesday, Dlamini took to social media to address the rumours, sharing a video of himself handwashing clothes while apparently in character. In the video, he expressed gratitude to those who reached out to help him.
“First, I thank everyone who has shown support for me, everyone who has offered me a house to live in, someone who has offered me their spare room. I really appreciate that,” he said.
He then went on to clarify the situation, saying, “I just want to dispel all of those concerns about me being homeless. I’m not homeless, not at all. I am living in a beautiful place in Durban, lots of sunshine. I’m happy. I’m fine. I’m good. I promise I’m not homeless.”
Luthuli also shared a message for those spreading false information, urging people to be careful about their sources. “Be sure of your sources of information. Don’t compromise your integrity for 15 cheap minutes of fame,” he added.
