Musician and DJ Shaun Andile Naki, better known as Shaun Stylist, shared a shocking and emotional video on social media on Tuesday, December 3, recounting a terrifying experience in which he was shot at while heading to a gig.
The 34-year-old fashionista from Johannesburg showed the damage to his car, including a bullet hole in the back window, and revealed how the shot narrowly missed him. “I could be telling a different story right now,” he said, visibly shaken.
In the video, Shaun expressed his anger and frustration over the incident, warning his followers to stay alert. “I’m careful with the words I use in this video,” he said. “These people don’t love us; we need to be careful. They don’t want us. Our success threatens them.”
Shaun also made a pointed comment about road rage, adding: “Most importantly, road rage is terrible. I nearly died because a white man shot at the back of my car.”
He urged his followers to stay safe and take caution, writing on X (formerly Twitter): “Was off to my gig and this happened please be safe guys.”
The incident sparked an outpouring of support and concern from his fans. Many expressed outrage over the attempted shooting, with one follower commenting, “That attempted murder he needs to go to jail for that and clean him up court wise. Don’t let this go because the next one will be in your head.”
