DJ Zinhle recently jetted off to France as the brand ambassador for Rémy Martin, joining the global celebration of the iconic cognac house’s 300th anniversary. The trip offered her an exclusive opportunity to delve into the rich heritage of the brand, and for the star, it was nothing short of magical.
Speaking to TRUELOVE about the experience, DJ Zinhle shared her excitement about trying something new. “I’ve been to France before, however, I’ve never experienced Cognac, so it was a first for me in that regard. [It] was absolutely breathtaking and has stolen a part of my heart,” she said, clearly enchanted by the scenic beauty and cultural richness of Cognac.
Of course, France is synonymous with haute couture, and DJ Zinhle made sure her outfits matched the opulence of the occasion. Describing her style inspiration for the trip, she said, “It honestly takes a village to put good outfits together for my travels. However, for this trip, my inspiration was the luxury setting of the vineyards and brand houses we visited. I think they turned out pretty good, right?!”
Zinhle also shared her travel essentials, offering a glimpse into what keeps her prepared on international adventures. Among her must-haves were high-quality luggage, earphones, a power suit, skincare essentials, and a trusty vlogging tripod to document her journey. For a seamless trip, she emphasised the importance of planning activities ahead of time. “You waste a lot of time trying to find the right places to visit on the spot, so plan beforehand to make the most of your time,” she advised.
Despite the glamour and luxury, being away from home wasn’t easy for the doting mom. Asked what she missed most about South Africa, DJ Zinhle’s answer was heartfelt: “Oh for sure my husband and kids.”
