Fans of Skeem Saam are in for a treat as two celebrated actors, Lesley Musina and Warren Masemola, join the popular SABC1 drama. According to Daily Sun, the announcement, made on Wednesday, 23 October, has stirred excitement, especially with these talented stars set to take on intriguing new roles.
Warren Masemola, known for his unforgettable performances on House of Zwide, will step into the shoes of Gopane, a father desperately searching for his missing son, Smaki, a Turfloop High School student. Gopane, originally from Turfloop, had left to work as a taxi driver in Johannesburg but has now returned in hopes of finding Smaki.
Warren, thrilled about his new role, shared his excitement about joining the cast. “It’s absolutely beautiful. I actually feel like I’m in Limpopo. Being a city boy who grew up in Tshwane, the set of Skeem Saam makes me feel like I’m back with my people,” he said. Fans can expect to see him make his debut on Monday, 4 November.
Meanwhile, Lesley Musina, formerly of Muvhango fame, will portray Fefo, a figure from Melita’s (played by Hellen Motsuki) past. His arrival promises to shake things up, particularly between Melita and Mr Kgomo (Lebo Oliphant).
