Reality TV star JoJo Robinson from Real Housewives of Durban recently faced a health scare that landed her in the hospital. JoJo shared pictures of herself in a hospital bed, surrounded by her husband and her best friend, co-star Nonku Williams, who were both there to offer support and comfort.
In a heartfelt post, JoJo detailed the severity of her condition: “I rushed to the emergency room in excruciating pain and found out I had a 1.6cm kidney stone blocking my urethra. This led to a backlog in my kidney, turning it to pus. My doctor removed the large stone and placed a stent in my kidney to help save it. I was told my kidney was just a week or two away from failure if this hadn’t been done. In two weeks, I have to undergo another surgery to remove the stent and the remaining stones.”
The reality star’s ordeal has garnered an outpouring of well-wishes from fans and fellow celebrities alike. Somizi, Maria Valaskatzis, and Beverly Steyn were among those who sent messages of support, hoping for JoJo’s speedy recovery.
