Watch! #RHODurban’s Annie On How Having An Abortion Affected Her. The real housewife of Durban cast member got remarkably candid about many of her life’s present and past events in an interview with Lungelo KM, on his YouTube podcast titled ‘Engineer Your Life’.

Annie Mthembu got to sit down with Lungelo where she talked about her upbringing, marriage, religious views and life philosophies. Before meeting her husband, Kgolo Mthembu, Annie says that she had been in an abusive relationship of five years and he had known her through those whole five years. She even said she had an abortion in her twenties and that the negative thoughts stemming from her abortion had even hindered her from stepping foot in church.

“Before I started dating him, I was scared of God… I know, it’s such a strange thing. I had an abortion and that abortion made me ashamed to the point where, I couldn’t walk into church without crying, I couldn’t face God, I didn’t want to talk to him,” Annie explained.

“I felt so guilty and ashamed, I was scared of God and stopped praying because I thought that what I did was unforgivable and God wouldn’t accept it,” she added.

Annie further went on to explain that meeting Kgolo changed her life for the better. Kgolo made her a more devout Christian by pushing her close to God.

”I know I make things about my husband a lot, but Kgolo saved me. I had completely given up on my relationship with God and he helped me find myself again and find my connection with God. He was the first man that made me stop feeling guilty and feel fine about the decision to have an abortion,” Annie fondly about Kgolo.
