1. Sivenathi Mabuya was born on April 26, 1993 in Cape Town. She grew up in East London with her three siblings and both her parents.

2. Sive as she prefers to be called, attended drama school before deciding to move to Johannesburg to pursue her dream of becoming a full time actress.

3. Her first big break came in February 2015 when she was one of five winners of the MAQamovie competition for amateur actors, sponsored by the washing powder brand.

4. She has been in many productions since including ‘The Ring’ by Mnet, Igazi, In July 2016, Sive joined the cast of the SABC3 dark comedy-drama series Sober Companion. Later that year Sive made her first appearance as AJ in the SABC3 soapie High Rollers – her first starring role in television.

5. She says her most  challenging and daring role I’ve had to play was on e.TV’s Easy Money. “An emotional roller-coaster that pushed me beyond my comfort zone, giving birth to a new love for what I do most,” she said.
