5 Interesting facts To Know About Miss South Africa Winner Lalela Mswane. Hosted by Anele Mdoda and Nico Panagio, the new Miss South Africa was crowned on Saturday at the Grand Arena, GrandWest in Cape Town. The 24-year-old walked away with a R4 million prize package, which includes R1 million in cash, the use of a fully-furnished apartment at Central Square Sandton, and a Mercedes Benz C-Class Sedan.
After receiving the crown, Lalela shared how unexpected the win was which is why she started crying when the reality finally settled in. Mswane came out on top of the two runners-up Moratwe Masima, who is a qualified doctor from Midrand in Gauteng, and BCom Law degree student Zimi Mabunzi from eQonce (King William’s Town) Eastern Cape who walked away with R175 000 cash prize.
Speaking to presenter Catriona, Lalela shared how thankful she is for the opportunity and we can’t wait see how her reigning journey will unfold, especially on social media.
“I don’t even know where to start. My heart is filled with so much gratitude. I’m so appreciative. Thank you.” she said.
