When sifting through the heaps of celebrity news throughout a typical year, rarely is there a link between famous faces and the world of gaming. What many people don’t realise, though, is that there are plenty of familiar figures who enjoy winding down with a few games.
After all, gaming is a commonly explored entertainment option in the modern world. Console gaming is booming thanks to the emergence of the PlayStation 5 and a selection of new and improved games, and smartphones can now handle an array of innovative releases. From console-quality titles to impressive live casino products like Playtech’s Spin a Win Live, which can be enjoyed using a casino account on both smartphones and PCs, the game has changed almost literally. We’re even seeing the emergence of gaming releases on popular streaming services like Netflix.
Essentially, when boredom sets in, we certainly aren’t short on gaming opportunities at the moment, that’s for sure. For celebrities, the same gaming options are there. Some famous people explore them today, while others used to dabble in gaming a few years back. Let’s take a look below.
Ice-T has a passion for playing old-school classics
American rapper and actor, Ice-T, is one of the most famous names to have emerged from the music business. Also, the co-star of the popular Law & Order: SVU TV series, his love for gaming has been common knowledge for a good while now. Not only was he known to session classic console products, such as those available on machines like the Atari and some SEGA systems, but he also samples more modern products like Destiny 2 and Call of Duty.
Mila Kunis adores World of Warcraft
Over the years, Mila Kunis’ affinity with gaming has become evident, particularly as she has shared plenty of stories on her hobby during a number of appearances on a variety of talk shows. Kunis was a dedicated World of Warcraft gamer back in the day, with the That ’70s Show actress surfing forums and joining communities during her playing days. Although her World of Warcraft adventures are said to be behind her in 2022, Kunis has recently admitted that she’s partial to the odd game of Call of Duty.
Vin Diesel started a gaming studio
While many people associate Vin Diesel with all-action productions and pumping iron in the gym, there is another side to one of Hollywood’s most prominent action stars. Vin Diesel hasn’t just spent hours playing World of Warcraft over the years, but he has even started Tigon Studios, a gaming studio behind popular titles like The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay. When Vin Diesel isn’t seeing off the bad guys and saving the planet, gaming is most definitely his escape.

While most people associate Matthew Perry with one of the biggest sitcoms to have ever hit our television screens, Fallout gamers are aware of his dedication to the game. In fact, Perry adores the Fallout franchise and even developed carpal tunnel syndrome in his hand from playing Fallout 3 too much. Perry’s love of Fallout eventually led to him being the voice of Benny, a character from Fallout: New Vegas.
Daniel Craig is a fan of Halo
Now Daniel Craig is no longer starring in the James Bond franchise, he might have more time for gaming. Yes, that’s right, Craig is a massive gamer after admitting that his dedication to it caused a lot of friction between him and his former partner. Halo was a game Craig especially couldn’t put down, with his seemingly never-ending license to kill causing a lot of issues with his former girlfriend. Craig was partial to the odd game of Guitar Hero, too.
